iMac to go

This project started first as a simple idea (or more precisely, a wish) after Apple released the 2020 iMac model, the first Mac to feature bold colors in over two decades. I’ve always been a fan of their industrial design, and I also always wanted to see a modern interpretation of a colorful laptop.

The years went by, and Apple never ended up releasing a truly rainbowy series of MacBooks, and my 3D skills continued to improve, so I decided to take matters into my own hands, and at least create a render of what I imagined it could look like.

The result is a laptop which fuses the slim M3 MacBook Air profile, with the 2020 iMac bold duotone color. It comes in five different variants: red, orange, green, blue, and purple. It’s a fun project, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.
